Brando en Corse est une commune de Haute-Corse (2B) située dans le Cap-Corse. La ville fait partie du canton du Cap-Corse et de la Communauté de communes du Cap Corse. Elle appartient à l’ancienne piève de Brando dont elle était le chef-lieu. Ses habitants sont appelés les Brandinchi.
La commune est composée de 7 hameaux : Erbalunga, Lavasina, Castello, Mausoleo, Silgaggia, Pozzo, Poretto. (Friscolaccio, Campinca, Marmoraggia, Cannicciu, Grotta, Serboghju sont d’anciens hameaux abandonnés). Erbalunga est bien entendu le plus touristique, tous les ans des milliers de touristes affluent pour se promener dans ce petit quartier avec commerces et restaurants ainsi que le long du port de pêche.
